Fraud Intelligence Analyst

About the Role
Behind every stolen load is a scheme: a hijacked MC number, a fake carrier, a spoofed email, a rogue dispatcher. As a Fraud Intelligence Analyst, you will hunt the networks behind freight fraud, uncover emerging tactics before they spread, and turn your findings into detection rules and intelligence that protect every CargoGuard customer.
What You Will Do
- Investigate suspicious carriers, brokers, and identities using platform data and open-source intelligence
- Map fraud rings, identity theft patterns, and double brokering networks
- Write threat intelligence briefings for customers, partners, and leadership
- Translate investigative findings into detection rules and model features with our data science team
- Monitor dark web forums, industry alerts, and law enforcement bulletins for emerging threats
- Support customers during active fraud incidents with fast, accurate analysis
What We Require
- 5+ years of experience in fraud investigation, threat intelligence, financial crimes, or law enforcement analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and link analysis tools such as Maltego, i2, or Palantir
- Expert OSINT skills and a disciplined, evidence-based investigative method
- Proven ability to produce clear, defensible intelligence reports under time pressure
- Working knowledge of FMCSA registration, MC/DOT authority, and freight transaction flows
- Unquestionable integrity and the judgment to handle sensitive information
What Sets You Apart
- CFE, CAMS, or GIAC certification
- Experience at a freight broker, carrier vetting provider, or cargo insurer
- Python scripting for data analysis and automation
