About CargoGuard
CargoGuard is freight tracking and security software built for freight brokers, 3PLs, and shippers that need a clearer way to review the driver, follow the load, and keep pickup and delivery evidence together.
A Freight Workflow Built Around Review and Evidence
CargoGuard is designed to give the person managing a load more context than a tracking dot alone. The broker workspace connects shipment progress with driver information, security status, route history, photos, and delivery records.
What Is CargoGuard?
CargoGuard is a freight visibility and security platform that brings several shipment-review steps into one workflow. Teams can review driver verification, follow active shipment tracking, receive alerts, request pickup photos, and keep delivery documents associated with the load. The platform is intended for freight moved by outside carriers where the broker, 3PL, or shipper needs visibility without relying only on an in-cab ELD connection.
The purpose is not to turn one data point into a fraud verdict. CargoGuard gives operations teams information they can compare: who the assigned driver is, what truck or registration information was provided, where the participating device reported, what photos were captured near pickup, which alerts occurred, and what documentation closed the load.
Why CargoGuard Was Built
CargoGuard grew from freight operations experience and a recurring problem: the person assigning a load often has to piece together driver information, tracking updates, phone calls, photos, and documents from different places. That makes it harder to spot inconsistencies and harder to reconstruct what happened later.
The product is built around a simpler operating idea: review the driver before pickup, follow the shipment while it is moving, and keep the supporting evidence with the load. That workflow is especially important when a team is trying to reduce exposure to double brokering, fictitious pickups, cargo theft, and ordinary shipment exceptions.

Who CargoGuard Is Built For
Freight brokers: Review driver information before pickup, follow shipment progress, investigate alerts, and keep load evidence together. See the freight broker workflow.
3PL teams: Coordinate tracking and exception follow-up across brokers, customer teams, and offices while keeping the load record available for review. See CargoGuard for 3PLs.
Shippers: Support release checks, receive shipment updates, and preserve pickup and delivery records for freight moved by outside carriers. See CargoGuard for shippers.
What the Platform Brings Together
Driver verification: CargoGuard supports driver license capture, selfie review, vehicle registration information, and related pickup checks. Learn more about driver verification software.
Shipment visibility: Follow location updates, load progress, and the shipment timeline while the freight is moving. See real-time freight tracking and real-time visibility.
Alerts and exception review: Use shipment alerts as prompts to investigate a delay, missing update, device change, or other concern. An alert is not proof of fraud. See automated shipment alerts and anti-spoofing GPS checks.
Pickup and delivery evidence: Keep truck photos, shipment documents, and proof of delivery tied to the load so the team has context during customer service, investigation, or claims follow-up. See geofenced photo verification and secure document capture.
What CargoGuard Does Not Replace
CargoGuard is one layer of a freight-security process. It does not replace carrier vetting, shipper release procedures, insurance requirements, physical security, or the judgment of the people responsible for the shipment. A location report does not independently prove identity or custody, and an alert does not automatically mean fraud occurred.
For fraud-sensitive loads, teams should compare the available CargoGuard information with established carrier contacts, pickup instructions, and other operational records before deciding what action to take.
Connecting CargoGuard to Your Operation
CargoGuard supports API-based integration for shipment and tracking workflows. Technical implementation depends on the systems being connected, the fields and events required, authentication, and testing. Review the freight tracking API page and the integration partners page for current information.
About CargoGuard: Common Questions
Is CargoGuard a freight broker or carrier?
CargoGuard is a software platform. It is designed to support freight brokers, 3PLs, and shippers with shipment verification, tracking, alerts, photos, and documents.
Does CargoGuard replace an ELD?
No. CargoGuard is not positioned as a carrier fleet-management ELD. It is designed for parties that need shipment visibility and security information for loads moved by outside carriers.
Can CargoGuard help with double brokering and cargo theft prevention?
CargoGuard supports workflows intended to reduce exposure to freight fraud and cargo theft by bringing verification, tracking, alerts, and shipment evidence together. It cannot guarantee that every fraudulent or theft event will be prevented.
Can we see CargoGuard before deciding whether it fits our operation?
Yes. A product demo can walk through driver checks, shipment visibility, photos, documents, alerts, and integration questions using the workflow most relevant to your team.
